Acupuncture
An integrated approach to promoting health and well-being.
Acupuncture is a complementary therapeutic approach that can contribute to promoting well-being, functional balance, and quality of life.
At Serennia, consultations are developed on an individualized basis, seeking to understand each person in their entirety and adapt the intervention to their needs and objectives.
Whenever this articulation benefits the follow-up, Acupuncture may be integrated into a care plan developed in conjunction with other areas.
How can we help you?
How does the consultation take place?
An acupuncture consultation usually takes place in several stages and is generally a calm and well-tolerated procedure.
It begins with an individualized assessment, where information is collected about the reason for the consultation, symptoms, medical history, medications, lifestyle habits, sleep, diet, and other aspects relevant to understanding each person's situation.
Whenever appropriate, elements such as the tongue, pulse, posture, areas of pain or discomfort, or others that assist in the assessment may be observed, according to the therapeutic approach used.
Based on this assessment, an intervention plan adapted to the needs and therapeutic objectives of each person is defined.
The application of the needles is performed on specific points of the body, using very fine needles, suitable for this type of intervention. The needles usually remain in place for 20 to 30 minutes, during which time the person remains comfortably positioned.
