Dr. Bárbara Ribeiro is part of the Serennia team in the Occupational Therapy area, supporting children, adolescents, and adults in various challenges related to development, functionality, autonomy, and participation in daily activities.
Her intervention aims to enhance the individual's participation in activities that are part of their routine and promote the acquisition or recovery of skills that favor autonomy and quality of life. She values ​​family involvement and collaboration with other professionals whenever this collaboration benefits the follow-up.<br/>Although she develops interventions in different areas of Occupational Therapy, she has dedicated a large part of her clinical practice to supporting babies, children, and adolescents, particularly in neurodevelopmental disorders and sensory integration difficulties.

Formação e Experiência

She holds a degree in Occupational Therapy from the Porto School of Health and a Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy specializing in Sensory Integration. She is currently pursuing a Postgraduate degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder and certified training in DIRFloortime 101, reinforcing her intervention in the area of ​​neurodevelopment.
She complements her training with specific courses in sensory integration, feeding, autism, child development, writing and communication, maintaining a continuous update of her knowledge and clinical practice.
Throughout her professional career, she has worked in different clinical contexts, integrating multidisciplinary teams in the areas of pediatrics, physical rehabilitation and geriatrics. This experience provides you with a comprehensive view of Occupational Therapy and allows you to adapt the intervention to the needs of each person.
